The 2017 Annual Preceptor's Meeting is scheduled for June 20th at 10 a.m. at the following locations:

The Delaware Bar Examination will be administered on JULY 24, 25 AND 26, 2017 at WIDENER UNIVERSITY, DELAWARE LAW SCHOOL, 4601 Concord Pike, Wilmington.

To file a 2017 application to sit for the July Delaware Bar Exam, you must complete the electronic application which can be found at https://www.bbede.org.

NOTICE TO ALL APPLICANTS: MACBOOK PRO TOUCH PROHIBITION
The Board of Bar Examiners has recently been made aware that the Apple MacBook Pro Touch laptop is incompatible with the security requirements of the bar exam that apply to applicants who choose to type their bar exam answers. Therefore applicants are prohibited from using these laptops to take the 2017 Delaware bar exam. The Board reserves the right to prohibit the use of any other laptops that may be determined to be incompatible with the security requirements of the bar exam. Please check the Board's web page periodically for updates on which laptops may not be used during the Delaware Bar Exam.

Applicants will not be permitted to bring any prohibited laptops into the bar examination room and will be required to hand write the exam.

IMPORTANT: Criminal background checks can take several months to receive from the FBI. Applicants should start that process as soon as possible.

Preceptor Duties and Clerkship Requirements

The Delaware Bar Examination will consist of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), two Multistate Performance Tests (MPT) and eight essay questions on such subjects as listed in Board Rule 12. In addition the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is required (see Board Rule 8 for time restriction). For more information on these tests, please refer to the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
